This is the harrowing moment a newborn baby girl was rushed to hospital after an American tourist found her abandoned on the roadside.
Eric Ransdell was walking home when he heard the infant crying from a pile of rubbish near his condominium in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand last Thursday morning (May 14).
He searched the area discovered the baby girl covered with a black and red cotton rag next to old tyres. Locals helped him to contact the emergency services.
The infant was rushed to intensive care at the Nakornping Hospital and is now recovering while the police check CCTV cameras to trace the mother.
