Many households in central, northern and northeastern provinces
have been hit by heavy flooding caused by overflowing rivers and canals.

Flooding from the Chao Phraya River has affected Pathum Thani,
a neighbouring province of Bangkok, for three days straight.
People in Muang district are building sandbag walls in hopes of
keeping the water out of their houses.

In Sukhothai province, at least 55,351 acres of farmland
are inundated and families have been evacuated to higher ground.

People in Nakhon Sawan also sought refuge on high ground as roads and houses
were damaged by strong floodwater currents.

In Nakhon Ratchasima, the floodwater level was over 80 centimetres.

At least 10 schools in Lop Buri were closed indefinitely as the water
level rose to more than 1.30 metres, Many villages were isolated as roads were submerged.

Work gangs in Ayutthaya are building flood walls to prevent the inundation of historical sites.

The Royal Irrigation Department said the water level of every
river should begin falling soon and return to normal by next week.
