The annual ox cart races will be taking place in Ban Lad distict of Phetchaburi from 16th to 18th February 2018. The event is a tradition that goes back nearly a hundred years to the reign of King Rama V. Local farmers take part in the races at the start of the rainy season. There will also be cattle beauty contests, ploughing competitions and also art and cultural demonstrations.
