Explosion at Nang Loeng

A bomb went off outside Bangkok's Nang Loeng Horse Stable on Sunday morning, but no injuries were reported.

Police said they found urea fertilizer, diesel fuel and several screw heads scattered at the scene. Parts of a refrigerant tank were found about 300 metres away from the site.

The blast damaged the stadium's wall and a flyover bridge.

Police believed the culprit hid the suspected homemade bomb under the flyover bridge.

Metropolitan Police Division 1 deputy commander Weerawit Chanchamroen said the bomb exploded at about 12.30am.

Pol Col Weerawit said the police will see whether the closed-circuit television cameras installed around the stadium were able to capture the image of a suspect who could be responsible for the explosion.

The stadium is near Phitsanulok House - the Prime Minister's official residence.
